Cardiovascular health is very important and February is the national Heart Health month! Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States- we encourage you to take charge of your health and schedule an appointment with your primary care physician if you have a family history of heart disesase or any new changes occur in your health.

We also would like to say thank you to our patients for choosing Dr. Cross as your provider. We know you are in charge of your healthcare and appreciate choosing him to help with your breast care and treatment.

Hi Everyone!! Man it has been a BUSY summer! The clinic has stayed busy & we have been working hard. We are all definitely enjoying this cooler weather and hope you are too! Just a reminder if this is your month, don’t forget to schedule your mammogram at your local facility! October will be here before we know it too, which is breast cancer awareness month- so “Think Pink”!

We are also making some changes to our website and how we obtain our patient information. We are going to start using a patient portal- which means you will fill out all of your information online. We will be looking for feedback so please let us know what you think. Thanks!

Hi everyone! Happy June- well it seems that summer is finally here! Don’t forget to apply sunscreen & wear sunglasses or a hat while having fun in the sun! We started our straw garden at the office and the plants are starting to grow!! We posted some pictures on Facebook so check it out!

Sorry it has been so long since the last blog! We have had a busy month so far! Remeber to perform your self breast exam at the same time each month- it’s best after you have finished your cycle. Also, if it is time to schedule your mammogram don’t forget!

Around the office: BTA started a “straw garden” in the back. We planted various vegetables- were hoping to see some good results and be able to take advantage the fresh produce! We also planted new flowers in the front we hope that you all enjoy them!

Well it’s April 15th! We hope that everyone is finished with the stress of filing taxes and is able to have a great weekend!

Race for the Cure is approaching soon, it’s only 2 weeks away! We hope to have a great outcome this year and will be praying for better weather.

Hi everyone, April is here which will bring us closer to warm weather & participating in activities outside which will all help our Vitamin D levels! BTA is trying to stay healthy as an office too, we are starting our very own Straw Garden in the back and will be growing fresh vegetables!

Also, Dr.’s Day was last week, we had a special breakfast for Dr. Cross and would like to say thank you to all of those physicians that work so hard for their patients!

Don’t forget to sign up for Race for the Cure Saturday April 30, 2011 at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers. We are forming a team, if you would like to join contact the office! Also, the “No Excuses Breast Cancer Outreach Program” through the Cancer Support Home will be offering FREE Clinical Breast Exams on site at Race for the Cure from 10 am – 1pm. This is a great program- so if you know someone that does not have health insurance and needs a breast exam have them contact the Cancer Support Home at 479-521-8024 for further information. Happy March Everyone!!

Well we’re getting close to Spring! March madness, St. Patrick’s Day, Daylight Savings Time, Spring Break (for those of us that get one) are activities that get us excited for the warmer weather ahead of us! Also, remember to Save the Date for 2011 Race for the Cure April 30th! Start forming your teams now!

We hope that everyone has toughed out the snow! We are so glad to be back on a regular schedule now. Dr. Cross just got back from Israel and things in the office are getting busy! Dr. Cross is preparing to go and help at the American Society of Breast Disease – School of Oncoplastic Surgery. He will be one of the many around the world teaching breast surgeons new techniques in cosmetic appealing breast oncology surgery!
